Helping your child find their unique voice through connection and play

I help children from birth to 5 years old build the foundational skills they need to understand and communicate in more meaningful ways.

Who I Work With

Testimonials

“So much compassion for each child she works with.”

Arefa is truly a wonderful human being who has so much compassion for each child she works with. I had the joy of working alongside Arefa in a school setting. Arefa was consistent in her approach and her creativity to meet each student where they were at. Her deep understanding of pragmatic language made her super effective working with our students on the autism spectrum. Her positive demeanor and fun affect truly allow her to connect with students of all ages. She is really a gem and I miss working with her all the time!

When your child's language is delayed, it's natural to wonder about the future

The good news is that language skills can be built.

I focus on identifying exactly where your child needs support and helping them develop those skills from the ground up. With the right approach, we can work together to strengthen your child's communication, support learning, and set them up with a solid foundation for the years ahead.

The Process

Every child communicates differently. That’s why my approach is individualized, building on your child’s strengths and supporting their unique needs. My goal is to guide you from your first questions to meaningful, lasting progress.

Complimentary initial call

Your first step is a complimentary consultation where I take the time to understand your child and your concerns, answer your questions, and outline the most appropriate next steps.

Screening/Evaluation

I will recommend either a screening or a full evaluation based on your child’s needs. In some cases, the first session can serve as the screening. If you have recent reports, I may be able to use them to guide next steps and avoid repeating testing.

Continuous collaboration

I partner with families, educators, and other providers to support your child across all environments. While therapy sessions are important, progress happens most when strategies are carried over into everyday routines. I want to make sure you feel supported and confident using these strategies at home and beyond.

Treatment plan development

Your child’s plan is based on their current skills and areas of need. We must focus on building a strong foundation first, then continue to grow skills step by step as your child progresses.

Therapy sessions

I meet your child weekly for 45 minute session(s). Each session is designed to meet your child’s specific goals in a supportive environment.
